RESEARCH & INNOVATION
Revolutionizing the way we protect our oceans through immersive experiences, data collection, and collaborative research.

EMPATHY THROUGH
EXPERIENCE
We protect what we love, and we love what we've lived. The Scubaverse invites a newfound connection between humans and the underwater world by building a sense of wonder, empathy and compassion that will guide us to impactful behavioral change.
Research shows immersive experiences increase pro-environment behavior by 300%. Once you have been hunting as a shark pup or hiding from predators as a clownfish, the "save the reefs" slogan becomes visceral.

OUR RESEARCH PILLARS
At the Scubaverse, we're building digital worlds, mixing education, conservation, and games through three key research areas.
LAB
Collect data and generate environments for better understanding of global and local ecosystems.
- •Scientific data collection
- •Environmental modeling
- •Ecosystem simulation
LAGOON
Virtual tourism experiences gathering sea guardians, from local communities to research institutes.
- •Virtual photorealistic tours
- •Training environments
- •3D spaces for events
DEEP BLUE
Multiplayer video game experiences that reward players and help establish virtual communities.
- •Reward system for conservation
- •Environmental stewardship
- •Community building

THE SCUBAVERSE
GLOBAL CLASSROOM
Support the Scubaverse educational program that will provide digital and environmental skills to students from 8 to 15 years old, organized with our partner, the N.G.O. Earth Child Institute.
Kids will have to deal with the impact of Climate change, and they're at an age where they open easily to learnings. At the Scubaverse we believe that it's our uttermost mission to connect them with ecosystems and support them in learning how to protect it.

THE MINECRAFT EFFECT
Just as pixelated blocks sparked a generation of amateur architects, our quests turn players into unwitting marine biologists.
Collecting Resources
That's learning about symbiotic relationships and understanding the delicate balance of marine ecosystems.
Building Shelters
Understanding coral calcification and the importance of reef structures for marine life.
Defending Territory
Learning about threats like ocean acidification and developing strategies for conservation.
"The 12-year-old defending her virtual anemone home from ocean acidification becomes the policymaker who rejects destructive coastal projects."

RESEARCH PARTNERS
We collaborate with leading research institutions to ensure scientific accuracy and real-world impact.

Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)
A huge shoutout to AIMS for open-source 3-D reef models that let us recreate ecosystems so accurate marine scientists can use our builds for habitat simulations! This isn't just a game, it's a living climate lab.
Join us at COP28 in Dubai where we'll organize a major event on sustainability, featuring our digital experiences.
